Quick & Easy Bolognese


Easiest meat sauce. Perfect for a quick dinner, or easy meal-prep.



1 lb grass fed ground beef

1 onion (diced)

2 garlic cloves (finely minced)

salt and pepper

4 ounces portobello mushrooms (diced)

1 tsp. paprika

1 tsp. chili powder

1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes

1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)

1 24 ounce jar marinara or arrabbiata sauce

1 tbsp. coconut aminos


To start, heat a large pot or dutch oven and brown the ground beef. Add onions and garlic and season with salt and pepper to taste. Saute until the onions are translucent.

Now, add the mushrooms, paprika, chili powder, pepper flakes, and cayenne. Stir and saute for 3-5 minutes. Then, stir in your favorite marinara/arrabbiata sauce and coconut aminos.

Cover and simmer for 25-30 minutes (stirring frequently) to reduce and thicken the sauce.

At this point, you can stir in some kale or spinach for added nutrients. Serve with noodles, rice or potatoes.
